For Sellers

Are You a Seller? Prove You're Trustworthy.

Buyers are skeptical of online sellers — and they should be. The Verified Seller Badge tells shoppers that your business has been independently checked and is safe to buy from.

Our Verified Sellers report increased buyer confidence and fewer "are you legit?" messages. The badge pays for itself quickly.

Questions? We've Got Straight Answers.

No fine print. No runaround.

Is my first verification really free? What's the catch?
Really, truly free. No credit card required. No automatic enrollment. We give you one free verification because we know that once you try it, you'll see exactly how valuable it is. After that, you can stay on the free plan (one verification per month) or upgrade if you want unlimited access.
How long does a verification take?
Most automated verifications come back within a few hours. Cases that need human review — ones where something is unclear or borderline — can take up to 24 hours. Guardian members get priority, so their results come back much faster. We always contact you if something is going to take longer than expected.
What exactly do you check?
We run more than a dozen checks on every seller, including: how long their account or website has been active, whether their product photos appear elsewhere online (reverse image check), the authenticity of their reviews, any prior fraud reports against that seller, business registration records where applicable, and whether their contact or payment methods match common scam patterns. You get a plain English summary of what we found.
What does "Safe," "Caution," and "Avoid" mean?
"Safe" means we found no signs of fraud and believe this is a legitimate seller. "Caution" means we found something concerning but couldn't confirm it's a scam — we'll tell you exactly what raised the flag so you can decide. "Avoid" means we found strong evidence this is not a legitimate seller, and we strongly recommend against purchasing.
Are you guaranteeing that a "Safe" seller won't scam me?
No — and any service that promises that is being dishonest with you. We do our best to catch fraud using multiple layers of verification. But we're not perfect, and scammers adapt. We always recommend using a credit card or PayPal Goods & Services for purchase protection, even with sellers we've marked Safe. If something goes wrong despite a Safe result, contact us — we take every case seriously.
I don't know much about technology. Is this complicated to use?
We built this specifically for people who aren't tech experts. Here's everything you need to do: go to our website, paste a link (or upload a screenshot), and wait for an email. That's it. If you have any trouble at any step, reply to any of our emails and a real person will walk you through it.
Can I share my account with my spouse or parents?
Yes. Guardian Plan covers up to 3 people total. Guardian Plus covers up to 6. You manage the account; your family members can submit verifications and receive results without needing to know anything about account settings. It's designed to be simple for everyone involved.
What if I want to cancel?
Cancel any time from your account settings — no phone calls, no hoops to jump through. If you cancel during a free trial, you pay nothing. If you cancel during a paid month, you keep access until the end of the billing period. We don't do confusing cancellation policies.
Do you sell my information?
Never. We collect only what we need to verify sellers and communicate with you. We don't sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone for marketing purposes. Full details are in our Privacy Policy, which is written in plain English — not legal jargon.
What if I think someone I love has already been scammed?
Start by contacting their bank immediately and reporting it as fraud. Then file a report at reportfraud.ftc.gov. If you're on Guardian Plus, call our support line — we can help you navigate the reporting process step by step. We also have a free guide on what to do after a scam; email us and we'll send it.
